iPhone settings - cellular vs mobile data

Between iphone SE2 and iphone 11, with the same ios version and esims from the same carrier, we are seeing two different options: iphone SE2 shows “cellular” and iphone 11 shows “mobile data” in settings. What could be the reason?

The word Cellular is Used in the USA/Canada

and Mobile is used in Europe and Asia.

In the context of an iPhone or mobile devices, the terms "cellular" and "mobile" generally refer to the same functionality, which is the ability to connect to a cellular network for voice calls, text messaging, and data services. However, the specific terminology used may vary in different parts of the world. Here's a breakdown:

  1. In the United States and some other regions: The term commonly used is "Cellular." On iPhones and other mobile devices, you will typically see "Cellular" in the settings and status bar to indicate the availability and strength of your cellular network connection.
  2. In many European countries and some other regions: The term commonly used is "Mobile." On iPhones and other mobile devices, you will see "Mobile" in the settings and status bar to indicate the availability and strength of your cellular network connection.

It's worth noting that while the terminology may differ, the underlying functionality remains the same. Both terms refer to the capability of connecting to a cellular network for voice, text, and data services on your iPhone or other mobile devices.
