Apple Cash transfer was never received

I’ve been using Apple Cash for a few months now transferring small sums of money as needed. A week ago today I transferred $1500.00 and the money was never received by the incoming bank. Apple is now telling me to file a dispute which can take another 10 days to resolve. Has anyone experienced this? I’ve lost Al confidence in Apple Cash at this point and their customer service department is of absolutely no help.

Great, since you familiar with the process, you should have both ACH transfer trace numbers, one from the sender and one from the receiver. If you don’t, then you need to get them. Some banks (source and recipient banks) provide the number in their receipts or transaction details, if you dig a little.

Provide both numbers to sending and receiving banks. The transaction can be traced through the ACH system and determined who’s fulfilled their obligation and who hasn’t.

Do you have the ACH trace numbers?

It ended up taking me two weeks to receive my money. What this tells me is Apple holds larger transactions for more than the stated 3 days before releasing the money.. I’m not exactly sure what they serve to gain by inconveniencing their customers thus way. If anyone is encountering this I’d suggest waiting 5-7 days before filing a dispute. Otherwise you have no choice but to wait two weeks for the funds to be returned to apple. The lesson I learned in this is to refrain from using Apple Pay for transactions over $100. It creates too much stress not knowing where in my case $1500 is located. Also the higher I escalated the more dissatisfied I became with customer service. The top tier does nothing more than reiterate their policy in the rudest way imaginable. Sorry you’re going through this

Omg! The same thing happened to me. I sent $500 to my bank from Apple Pay on 7/12 , it never arrived! I’ve called my bank and they don’t have any pending deposits. I was told by apple to dispute it with apple after the 3rd business day so i did. Just received an email that it was denied!!! How??? Does anyone know the number to green dot, since i guess Apple Pay is through that bank? This is crazy and never happened before! I’m trying to see how to appeal and will be calling apple again for the 5th time because that’s ridiculous! I’m literally out of $500 and that can easily be confirmed with my bank that it was never received

Your son possibly entered the wrong routing and account number or wrong debit card information.

If he called Green Dot, how could see notes even make sense?

You may want to do a joint call with Green Dot Bank, yourself and your son. Green Dot won’t talk to you without your son’s permission. Misdirected funds are by the receiving bank in 7 to 10 business days. Occasionally sooner and on rare occasions a little longer. How many days since you son sent the funds?

Going through the same nightmare almost word for word but thank god see few people with same issue because Apple doesn’t give any help basically tell you “it’s cleared nothing we can do” and my bank has proof the rejected the transfer and I believe it because when I tried the transfer I got emails text notification all saying it was being rejected except Apple said “payment sent” anyways I disputed it and they denied it hour later and still haven’t sent me the papers saying how they investigated and why they came to that conclusion this happened (the transfer” on 01/23 for $300 did you have to do anything other then just wait? I can wait but I’m nervous waiting so long then if there is any options I’m past the time limit you know?? Any firsthand advice appreciated!

My son had 750 dollars in his Apple account in which he used the 1-3 day transfer to send to his bank account. Two days later he received a notification that it was sent…. To a fifth third account! Which he doesn’t have an account with them! It gave him the last four numbers of the account. He called green dot, which Apple suggested and it’s been 3 days and they denied it stating see notes! In which they didn’t provide any additional notes! I’m not sure what’s going on… but as much as I’ve read…. Someone should be held accountable for this if Apple won’t take responsibility.

The funds were in my wallet. I attempted to transfer them to my own bank and they were “misplaced” with no tracking details other than my bank and routing number. I have transferred smaller amounts several times before. I just can’t seem to understand how these funds are just missing. I’m sure it’ll be returned but having my money tied up for this duration of time peeves me.
