How do I get iwatch to verify debit card that is verified in my iphone?

Unable to add my card to Apple Pay on Apple Watch Recently my credit card was compromised through no fault of mine. Now that I have a new card I've been trying to set it up for Apple Pay on my watch. Each time I go through the watch app on my phone and input the CVV number, it comes back with an error and to try again later. I checked with my bank and they said everything is good to go with the card. Since that's the case the issue possibly maybe lies with Apple. Thing is I was able to add the card to my phone through the bank app. This before actually getting the physical card. In addition I was told that watch security isn't as strong as that for the phone. To me that doesn't make sense. I don't see how one device would be more secure than other in terms of AP. This might clear up in a few days as per bank tech support. On the other hand it might not. The only thing I can think of would be to unpair my watch from my phone and set it up as new. Honestly not sure how to do that. If anyone can offer some help on this, I'd greatly appreciate it. How to Add Afterpay Card to Apple Watch without CVV number? Trying to add AFTERPAY card to my Apple Watch, so I took the advice given from people having the same issue, the issue that shouldn’t be an issue to begin with… and now I can’t even add the card to my Apple wallet. I needed the CV NUMBER on the back of the card, with a virtual card, which makes ZERO sense. How do I fix this? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Please unpair the Apple Watch from the iPhone and do a forced restart and then pair the two devices back together.

Restart Apple Watch - Apple Support

After they are paired again, please go to the Watch app on your iPhone and try adding cards again.
