Cannot Allow Apps to Access Camera/Photos on iPhone 13 Pro

This has never been an issue but today I opened apps like Snapchat Instagram TikTok and other apps that have to my camera and photos. It said to go to settings and allow access. I went to settings and didn’t see any buttons or anything to give those apps access. I tried to go to screen time in settings>> content and the privacy restrictions, and it says it allows cases to photos. I tried to find a solution such as clearing a lot of my storage and resetting my phone and looking at apple questions but nothing seems to be working.( this problem is on my iPhone 13 pro)

I FOUND A SOLUTION, ive been having the same problem an none of the other solutions worked.

All you have to do is

1) go to Settings > Screen time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Photos > Allow Changes

2) Then go into the apps that you want to give full acces to your camera roll (snap, Insta, Tiktok etc.) and you will be given the option to enable photo & camera access. Hope this helps!

I found a solution after facing the same issue, and none of the other fixes worked for me. (I am on IOS 18.1) Here's what i did and it worked:

1) Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Photos > Allow Changes.

2) After that, delete and reinstall the apps you want to give full access to your camera roll. You should then be prompted to enable photo and camera access.

for me the problem was with Pinterest,Reddit and Instagram.

Hope this helps!

Hey there,

Thanks for the screen it’s so helpful to make us understand your issues well !

Go to Settings > Privacy & security > photos > and allow photos for that app you want.

Also in the same page got to camera > and allow it to the app you want.

If that doesn’t work, Let’s try to reset the Location & Privacy this will reset the Powers of your app and then you may be able to allow the “photos” for your app again, Go to settings > General > Transfer or reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy.

All The Best!

Hi, I'm having the same problem as OP, and when I follow the instructions above and click on settings > privacy and security > Photos this is the screen I get, which doesn't allow me the opportunity to do anything with permissions.

I also tried resetting location and privacy as suggested, and it's still the same, it just now has my permissions revoked on even more apps.

I’m experiencing an issue with photo access permissions on my iPhone 13. After granting apps permission to access my photos, they don’t appear under Settings > Privacy > Photos, and I have no option to enable or disable their access.

Additionally, after reinstalling the affected apps, the Photos access toggle is missing from their individual settings pages.

Steps I’ve Tried:

1. Restarting the phone

2. Resetting privacy settings

3. Uninstalling and reinstalling the affected apps

4. Granting photo access when prompted after reinstalling

Despite these steps, the issue persists. The apps I’ve explicitly allowed to access my photos are not listed under Privacy > Photos, and I can’t t manage their permissions in their settings.

Is there a known fix for this, or could you provide guidance on further troubleshooting steps?
