in ap store I do not have 'UPDATE' option for 10.6.6, only 'OPEN'.

we have 5 machines and I can't open a library created on a different machine which has FCPX 10.6.6 installed
When I try to open the library I see error message that the library was created with a newer version of final cut.

Try this: make a zip of your 10.6.5 for safekeeping, and drag the application to the trash, so the App Store does not see it as installed. Go to your account page at the App Store, and it should now say Download (or show the download icon) instead of Open.

The current version requires macOS Ventura.
You could probably send an XML from the 10.6.6 library and open it in 10.6.5.
The app isn’t available on another drive? If not make sure you’re in your Purchased page and find FCP there. You should see a cloud download icon. If not post a screenshot of what you see.

You're quite right Luis. It was Big Sur that was dropped, not both 11 and 12.
interesting as I have 5 other machines running OS 12.6.3 that have FCPX 10.6.6
If fact the library I can't open was created on one of these machines
ya its not. We have machines with 10.6.6 on OS 12
I tried this previously. No joy
