The operation couldn’t be completed. One or more of the libraries were created with a newer version of Final Cut Pro. These libraries will be ignored.

I have an iMac running FCPX 10.6.6 and my MacBookPro running 10.6.5. I have been able to work on my projects via an ExternalDrive without any problems until yesterday. Now my MacBook Pro running with the older version I get the error message "The operation couldn’t be completed. One or more of the libraries were created with a newer version of Final Cut Pro. These libraries will be ignored."

I went to the App Store to update the FCPX to 10.6.6 but it says there are no updates available. Will appreciate any recommendations on how to tackle this.

Please give specs of the MBP and the OS? 10.6.6 requires a late version of Monterey.

Are you logged into the App Store with the same Apple ID used to Purchase it? Is it listed in the Purchased page? If so, move the current version to the trash and redownload from the Purchased page. If you have the right OS you will get 10.6.6.
