Hi guys. Has anyone had success installing and using a Canon PIXMA TS5055 printer in wireless mode?
MacBook Pro (2017 – 2020)

Hi,
Without having used the printer in question, I noticed that a Canon TS5055 is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a model supporting Apple's AirPrint technology.
An AirPrint printer is compatible with macOS, and can be used without additional drivers, provided that the printer and the Mac are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router). AirPrint would make it possible to print from an iPhone or iPad, too. See also the following guide:

Reset the printing system on your Mac to solve a problem – Apple Support (UK)
Add a printer to your printer list so you can use it on Mac – Apple Support (UK)
If necessary, if all Wi-Fi settings are OK but the TS5055 is not recognised as an AirPrint printer, try a full power cycle sequence (do not forget the router):
Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the Mac, and all iPhones/iPads/other computers or devices connected to the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the Mac. Finally, power on any iPhones/iPads/other computers or devices.

Have not used that model, but have used other Canon PIXMA printers using AirPrint with no problems. Make sure they are on the same WiFi network and try printing without installing any drivers first and report back if your are having any trouble.
Thank you very much. I will give it a go.
Guys,
Just a follow up. Printer is now working fine. An issue with the colours, but that's another business.
Thanks again - much appreciated!
Glad to hear that. Thank you for the report.
