Does anyone have an internet software/app downloaded onto their iPhone or MacBook?

If so, what brand do you recommend? Or not recommend?

There are no security apps for iOS that do anything other than slow down your phone, and none are needed; iOS is secure without help. For a Mac that is almost the same, however MalwareBytes in either the free or paid version is effective at identifying malware. What you should do is enable File Vault to encrypt your storage and also enable the built in firewall for extra security if your router doesn’t already have an effective firewall.

Avoid any for Macs, iPhones or iPads that claim to improve the performance of your device, protect it, or manage memory. All such apps are scams out to get your money while providing nothing of value. And that includes the “big names” of internet security.
