Why when using “Ask To Buy” the request is sent through iMessage and when I click to accept the request, it downloads on the parents phone instead of my child phone.

Why when using “Ask To Buy” the request is sent through iMessage and when I click to accept the request, it downloads on the parents phone instead of my child phone.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. That doesn't sound like what's expected. As mentioned in Approve what kids buy with Ask to Buy - Apple Support, "If the family organizer approves the request and completes the purchase, the item automatically downloads to the child's device." Since it sounds like it's not working as expected, make sure that each family member is signed in to their own Apple ID. Check out Sign in to iCloud on all your devices - Apple Support if needed. Every family member should have their own Apple ID and if not, that can cause issues similar to what you've described.
If you've checked that and all looks good, try approving the request from another device if one is available. That might help to isolate where this occurs.

Hi We all have the correct apple id. I could see that if I approve it from the iPad it works correctly, but not from my iPhone. Strange, isn't it? Because in both I'm using my AppleID
