personal finance app
I have been using iBank ver. 4.7.5 for many years but it is time to replace it. Does anyone have a suggestion for a personal finance app that is stand alone and does not require a subscription?

Do an Apple Store Search for " Moneydance " or for more recent Non Apple Store version Moneydance
Have been using since about High Sierra to and including in Ventura 13.4.1
It contains the Universal Binaries to run on Apple Silicon computers or Intel machines.

Think if you explore the Moneydance site you may find a possible non subscription solution
Personal finances, checking, savings, credit cards etc all available
Yes I Do use it and am retired since 2007.
You can purchase Quicken on the subscription plan but not re-subscribe at the end of the year. Since I purchased Quicken there have been about 10 updated along the way.
Quicken was sold by Intuit in 2016 and has since beefed up the Mac version considerably.
I used to track my IRA investments with it but it got too much for me. I had too many items in the IRA and it got overwhelming trying to enter each and update them. I do believe that the current Quicken can download the transactions for the investments and automatically track them. That feature came in after I stopped tracking myself.
I let my son-in-law, who's my financial advisor, take care of that and get printed reported every month from his company.
I'd also give their customer support line a call to see how to convert you current file type to theirs before purchasing.
You’re going to have trouble finding a good personal finance app that doesn’t require a subscription. It really depends on what you need. If you just want to do basic checkbook and budget then just about any of the standalone or free ones will do.
Quicken will do it all, download and manage investment accounts, budgets, reports, taxes, bank accounts, credit cards. The subscription to Quicken Deluxe for Mac is $65/yr, that’s around $5.40/month. I consider that a real deal for what the software does.

You read wrong. I’ve been using the Mac version almost since day one. The current Mac version is closer than ever to the PC version in features and function. Like you I use it for my retirement accounts, IRAs, credit card management. Almost all banks support the download functions. There are some holdouts like Apple’s own Apple Card, GM Mastercard, Dillard’s department store card
I used quicken many years ago when I had a PC and could not use it once I switched over to a Mac so I started using iBank. I have read that Quicken for Mac has compatibility issues that make it cumbersome to use. Have you found that to be true? Also, do you use it for retirement and investment accounts?
What exactly are your requirements? Different apps have different areas of focus.
I've been using it for several years thru several systems and have had no problems. They've improved its connection to banks for automatic updating and downloading of transactions.
Need to track home finances. Checking, savings, retirement and investments. Don’t really want a subscription product but I suppose that’s not feasible these days.
Thanks
I've been using Quicken Deluxe for a number of years and am very happy with it. I'm able to follow several credit cards, two checking accounts, a savings account and a loan account.
