How do i free up HD space on MacBook Pro?
I have a 2019 16" MacBook Pro with a 1 TB HD. After the latest Ventura update, I started getting notifications that my app memory was running out, and have been following all the basic sure-fixes: cleared caches, made sure all files are on the cloud and only linked in my finder, deleted all unnecessary apps, etc... I really only run chrome, adobe photoshop, illustrator, indesign and mail.
When I get the info on my app folder, it totals 22.5 GB of usage.
HOWEVER, in my system settings it totals 955.16 GB, making my storage of the entire system using 1.06 of 1.0 TB. Beyond that, since I have been clearing caches and deleting unused apps, the system usage has gone up (it started reading 95 GB of 1.0 TB used.
How is that even possible? and where are all these files eating up the memory hidden?
I cannot afford another machine right now, but also rely on this machine for work.
Do I wipe the HD and start all over?
Please help!
