Updating iOS

I’m currently running iOS 15.7.3 on an iPhone 7Plus with 32GBs of memory (3.97GBs still available)

I’m getting asked to update to iOS 15.7.7.

My System Data says 5.88GBs. How much space will this recommended update take of my remaining memory, or is not worthwhile to do this update?

I keep on getting these messages to update automatically.

Thanks,

DMS

Hello Davey17,

We would like to see how we can help you with updating your iPhone. If there isn't enough space to download and install an update, the software on your device will try to make space. It will remove only app data that it can download again and doesn't remove or relocate any of your data. If your device still doesn't have enough space, you can use your computer with the steps from this link: If you need more space for an update on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

"Use your computer to update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. On a Mac with macOS Catalina or later, open the Finder. On a Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier, or on a PC, open iTunes.
  2. Plug your device into your computer.
  3. Locate your device on your computer. You might need to trust your device to continue.
  4. Click Check for Update.

Finder on Mac showing iPhone in the list of locations, and emphasizing the Check for Update button.

5.Click Download and Update."

Cheers!
