CAF files are audio files saved in the Core Audio Format, a digital audio format developed by Apple. They can be opened on an iPhone using the following methods:
- Ensure that the Audio Message.caf file is saved on your iPhone. If it's received as an attachment in a messaging app like iMessage, you may need to tap on the attachment to download it first.
- Once the file is saved on your iPhone, locate the Files app. It is a pre-installed app on most iPhones and is represented by a blue folder icon with a white document inside.
- Tap on the Files app to open it. By default, you will be in the "Browse" tab.
- If the Audio Message.caf file is stored locally on your iPhone, navigate to the location where it is saved. This could be in the "On My iPhone" or "iCloud Drive" section depending on where you saved it.
- Tap on the folder or storage location where the Audio Message.caf file is located.
- Locate the Audio Message.caf file and tap on it to open it. The file should open in the default audio player on your iPhone.
- Using the Voice Memos app: If the Audio Message.caf file was sent to you in an iMessage, you can open it by Touch and holding (Firmly Press) on it in the Messages app. The file will open in the Voice Memos app, where you can listen to it.
