iSmart gate and apple home kit no response with apple TV

Hi there,

I have an iSmart garage door opening device that was previously linked to a iPad serving as the apple home hub. With the new update to apple home not allowing me to use the iPad as a home hub, I purchased an Apple TV 4K. The home app recognises the apple TV as a home hub, however I have lost the ability to use the iSmart garage door opener. This has only happened since the transition from the iPad as at the home hub to the apple Tv as the home hub.

Other posts suggest checking the garage door sensor batteries, however, I use a wired garage door sensor.

I have tried multiple resets to the iSmart garage door opener, removed the device from the home app multiple times, made sure all devices have the latest software updates and have reset the apple TV multiple times.

Any suggestions on a solution to this?
