2020 MacBook Pro m1

When I connect to a monitor, thru apple air display, I cannot use the built in trackpad on the computer, leaving it unusable. Occasionally, it will move from location, to location, however, it's not visible, so I have no idea where it is on screen. Even if I use my "smart" mouse, it will not move the cursor. Why?

My mouse is stuck on my macbook air and I need it on my new display I bought a new 27" display for meetings and connected it to my macbook air but the curser wont move to the bigger screen, the pop up window for Settings--> displays is on the other display but I cant access it, the only way the pop up comes back to the laptop is if I diconnect but then the studio display is not an option. Why is my MacBook Air not displaying on the external monitor? At the Apple store yesterday the "genius" connected an external monitor to my M1 MacBook Air and was able to "see" that my processor, etc. was functioning as usual. The Air display is black and has been determined to be dead. I bought an Acer monitor, hooked it into my USB3 port with an HDMI to the monitor, I can't get my Air to show on the monitor. Since I can't use any prompts (Settings, etc.) that would otherwise be displayed on the Air panel, how do I get the Air to talk to the Acer just suing the keypad? I'm not sure what magic the "genius" employed to do that in the store. All I get on the Acer screen are settings menus. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

MacBook Air 15" - Dual Screen - Cursor appears higher in the second screen I've got a 2nd monitor that I placed on the right and it was always working properly when it was running on the MacBook Air 13". I recently changed to 15" and the cursor seemed to not be aligned when I'm working on the 2nd screen. For example: if the cursor is in the middle of the MacBook screen and when I pulled it to the second screen on the right, the cursor will appear much higher on the screen. It's worse when I try to drag a window over, it will get stuck and I try it a few times to drag it over and I think it's down to the alignment issue. I've gone to display and checked the resolution, it's all working fine. Can anyone help?

And disconnect the “air display” to troubleshoot. The curser may have gone somewhere beyond your built in display to this air display. Reset the resolution and/or display settings of your air display.

What exactly is the Apple air display you are using?

Try to disable and enable Bluetooth. Otherwise perform a shutdown to reset PRAM.
