Apple ID Authentication- Wrong Address

I saw a similar post from 2017 and I am having this same problem in 2023:

I recently saw that a couple texts had been sent from my Messages account and a email from my icloud account were received by people from me. The problem was that I did not send them the messages. I was concerned my Apple ID account had been hacked so I changed the password. I have 2 step authentication on Apple ID so receive a message saying someone is signing into Apple ID from "near Arlington, VA". Problem is I am signing in from Italy. I have to accept to receive the 6 number code to put in as the 2nd step to get into account. I get in but this is makes me concerned that someone has my information and is authenticating their device with my password in Arlington, VA. It happens on all my Apple devices.

Does anyone know what things may be causing the wrong location for me when I sign into Apple ID and have ideas what to do to fix it?”

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 16

Greetings JJSB97,

When you sign into your Apple ID, "The notification might include a map of the approximate location of the sign-in attempt. This location is based on the new device's IP address and might reflect the network that it's connected to, rather than the exact physical location. If you know that you're the person trying to sign in but don't recognize the location, you can still tap Allow and view the verification code. If you're not the one trying to sign in, tap Don't Allow to block the sign-in attempt." Two-factor authentication for Apple ID

We hope this helps!

Sincerely.
