iBooks crashing

I am in the new iPad mini IOS 17

My iBooks keeps crashing after a second or so after I open it. This is a recent development. It hasn’t happened before.

I have tried everything I can think of.

Offloading it, deleting it from iCloud, restarting the iPad completely, turning off certain settings in the settings app one by one then opening the app to see if that’s what’s causing it, turning off Focus mode, and I did a full hard reset erasing all data and settings. Could it be that iBooks is not yet compatible with ios 17? Thank you
