Purchases made with your Apple ID remain yours, whether made via the iTunes or Apple Music apps. Content added to your library via an Apple Music subscription is lost when the subscription ends. Both iTunes and Apple Music can connect to your purchase history and/or iCloud Music Library. You can only install one of the apps at a time.

Thank you very much for your answer. Another question, if I may? I understand that when cancelling an Apple Music subscription, I would not be able to access any purchases made in that app. Can I keep the iTunes on my Windows pc and have the Apple Music just on my other devices? I want to continue using iTunes to purchase music and have the ability to keep those purchases in the event of cancelling the Apple Music subscription.
