I think my iPod Touch is broken or fried

I am having issues charging it. I've blown the charging port to clear any debris that might have gotten stuck and I have tried to turn it off and then turn it back on. I have also tried another charger. It all worked but the next day, my iPod quit charging so I think its either fried or broken. I'm updating it to see if it's the problem, which is the last thing Google recommended to do if it won't charge.
