My iphone is stuck on Amazon webpage with spinning wheel. I can't restart it. I did remove the sim card. Still nothing. Should I reinsert sim and try again? What's the best option?

It's charged to about 40% (guessing) and is NOT stuck on the black screen. It is frozen on the Amazon web page/app. And the spinning wheel of death is there -- I tried the other options offered already.
I guess I can wait for it to power off (battery to die) and then try recharging, but that seems unlikely to me.
The Force Restart as mentioned above will work, it just takes a couple of times to get the key sequence right and the last step of holding the side button can take up to 30 seconds before the Apple logo appears and you can release it.
