Go to File>Print, then in the window that opens at the top where it says "Printer" click on the up/down arrows to the right and then click on "Add Printer" and you should be able to do it through there. You shouldn't need to add any additional print drivers. I just had to add a HP printer a couple of weeks ago and it was very easy to do. Thanks for your reply. However, I tried doing that and It says the software for this printer isn't available from Apple. so I tried searching for the latest software from the printer manufacturer but cannot download it because it's from an unidentified developer.
I would think the Canon MX491 listed in the above article would work. But the usa.canon.com/support/ has drivers of the MX490 for macOS Ventura.
