I cannot connect my Canon Pixma MX490 printer into my macbook m1

Go to File>Print, then in the window that opens at the top where it says "Printer" click on the up/down arrows to the right and then click on "Add Printer" and you should be able to do it through there. You shouldn't need to add any additional print drivers. I just had to add a HP printer a couple of weeks ago and it was very easy to do. I would think the Canon MX491 listed in the above article would work. But the usa.canon.com/support/ has drivers of the MX490 for macOS Ventura.
