Can’t add transitions in movies created by Magic Movie

I had posted this question back in March, but cannot reply now as the earlier discussion was closed. By the time, I saw the response, I had given up on adding transitions. I’m now trying to edit another video and the same problem has occurred. Here’s the original post:

Magic Movie adds transitions between some video clips (using an iPad) but not all. How do I add transitions between ALL clips? By the way, I'm using an iPad Pro.

Here’s additional information: The video created by Magic Movie added transitions between some clips but not all. I went in and tapped the transition icon between clips and no inspector appears. I expanded the clips, and still no change. Some of the clips between which I cannot add a transition are longer than the clips between which iMovie automatically added clips. I’ve restarted my iPad and the app (iMovie). Still no luck. I’ve looked at the Apple support page as well as the response to my previous post. I’ve checked to be sure I have the most recent version and I do. What am I missing?
