What is the software need MacBook Air
MacBook Air 11″, OS X 10.10
Please clarify. The need is for it to be developed to run under a Mac OS.
The verbiage associated with any app should say what OS it's compatible with ... Mac, Windows or Linux.
A clue to its compatibility is the extension: .com & .exe are Windows. .dmg is Mac and so on. Where you get it is also a clue. If it's offered in the Mac App Store it for Macs only.
