I can move Collection names to correct sort order but if never stays that way. Have Books syncing to Icloud drive but doesn't matter still shuffles the MY Collections names how it wants.
How do I keep the sequence from changing?

I have the same problem and have asked for solutions several times but have never gotten any response. I have wasted a lot of time re-sorting my collections multiple times only to have them revert to whatever order in which Books seems to want them. I have titled the collections with last night of the author first for sorting purposes but Books also change some (but not all) of them to first name first for no discernible reason. I have a large book collection and if I want to add a new book to an existing collection, I have to go through the entire list to find the collection I want. Very time-consuming and annoying but I guess that this issue is not high priority for Apple, if it is a priority at all.
