Can't find my apps in applestore for some languages

Hi,

I have checked some search results on the appstore here Apple (Canada)

The search result in French is empty for certain keywords

The search result in English returns results for the same keywords.

My apps have both languages enabled, keywords, description texts.

Do you know why?

Thanks

Can you clarify exactly what you are attempting? I see no option to search the Apple website for any app keyboards. Why I try, I get no results and offers to open the App Store app.

Also, if you are asking about a specific keyword, what is the keyword? What are you looking for?

Or are you actually searching in the App Store? If so, have you switched your computer to French? You can't just add the language. You have to add the language, make it 1st in the priority list, and then restart.

The problem is that when you run "an app" like the App Store app, that is merely a front end. All Apple apps consist of multiple processes running in the background. So when you switch your language, or direct the system to run a certain app in a certain language, only part of it gets switched. For most 3rd party apps, this is no problem and they work fine. But Apple is different. You must restart for language changes to fully take effect.

Hey there support162,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

The languages you have set for your keyboard will be in a specific order. The first language listed is what's used for app and websites, including the App Store.

If you go to Settings > General > Language & Region, you'll see the list of preferred languages. As mentioned there, apps and websites will use the first language in that list.

If you add a keyboard for a different language, the corresponding language is automatically added to the Preferred Language Order list. You can view this list and add languages directly to it in Settings > General > Language & Region. You can also reorder the list to change how apps and websites display text

We hope that helps.

Take care!

I guess that search system only searches iOS apps. However, it doesn't look like the French site offers any app search functionality. Can you find other apps that return results on the French page?

If I search it in French, no results mapei - Apple (CA)

Well, your app isn't even localized in French. Methinks you doth protest too much.

I'm trying to search apps on the Apple website through desktop devices browsers (PC or Mac).

If I browse the Apple website in French (Canada) language, the search result is empty.

If I browse the Apple website in English (Canada) language, the search returns some results.

The keyword is the same in both languages and it is set as keyword on the appstoreconnect.
