My AMC shows error message "episode not available in my region"

Does anyone know why my AMC+ app keeps blocking every show saying "episode not available"

I reached out to AMC+ and they said since I have AMC+ through Apple, I need to reach out to Apple. Here is what I got from them.

Below are some points of explanation about AMC+ on Apple Channels:

  • Our Apple Channels app is a completely separate subscription and is not managed through our system.
  • The Apple Channels app operates independently of our AMC+ App for Apple TV.
  • This Apple-managed account cannot be combined, carried over, switched back and forth, or used on the AMC+ website or apps.

If you run into any issues with streaming or with your billing, you'll need to reach out to their support team for help: Subscribe to Apple TV channels in the Apple TV app - Apple Support

Hello cc0731,

Use the following related steps to try to solve this app issue on your Apple TV:

  • You'd need to make sure that the AMC+ subscription is active. This can help you to check if you have an active subscription: How to switch to a different subscription plan While you may not be switching to another plan, it provides the steps needed to check if the subscription is active on your Apple TV.

  • Test other content on the Apple TV. Do you have access to other apps and subscriptions? If so and the issue only happens with this AMC+ app, then yes, it is a third-party issue. You'd need to seek help from the provider: How to contact an app developer As Apple would have no solutions to provide for third-party app issues.

If the issue is with the Apple TV itself, then you'd need to contact Apple Support: Get Support

They'd need to take it from here.

Take care.

Hey cc0731,

It sounds like you are able to watch some episodes of a series, but not all. Let's see how we can help.

You will want to make sure your Apple TV, or other devices you are trying to view the episode(s) on have the current versions available. For making sure the Apple TV is updated, see Update your Apple TV - Apple Support.

If the devices you are using are updated, and you still can't view the episode, then you will want to reach out using this link to contact Apple Support.

Take care!

Hi Dorain1,

I am not able to watch any episodes of any show. It allows me to see what might be available but any show I click on gives me the error message. I have checked to make sure my area/region/country is correct, I have rebooted my internet, updated my apple app, checked every device in my house as well as my phone. I also reached out to Apple support and they told me it is an AMC+ issue not an apple issue!
