iPhone 12 connectivity

I have a 12 pro and a 12 pro max and both of them have lost all connectivity repeatedly since they were new. Went to Verizon and full reset done to no avail. They show cell and Wi-Fi signal strength but have no connection to web. I do the in and out of airplane mode at least once a day and often have to do a hard reset to get connected. Out of all the devices connected to my wifi, these two phones are the only problem children. They never lose just one connection method, it’s always both.

Hello Wasfishguy,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Sounds like you're not able to get any type of internet connection on your iPhone, even though you have cellular service and it shows you're connected to Wi-Fi. Allow us to assist and recommend some troubleshooting steps you can try. Let's follow the steps listed below:

1.) Make sure that these devices don't have any Screen Time restrictions enabled that might be preventing internet access: Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

2.) Check for VPNs or configuration profiles that might be enabled or added to the devices:

-Check VPN (Virtual Private Network) and third-party software to help resolve network connectivity issues - Apple Support

-Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone - Apple Support

3.) You might need to also try resetting your Network Settings. Tap Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you’ve used before. If you're using iCloud Keychain, these settings are also removed from other signed-in devices.

Also, if you have any pending updates available for both devices, it would be a good idea to install them.

This can usually help with unique issues, since updates include fixes. Just in case, this link can guide you through the update process: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

1.)Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2.)Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3.)Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4.) If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5.) Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do: If you forgot your iPhone passcode - Apple Support

We hope these steps help you. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

Both phones running 16.5.1 and have always been auto updated. No screen time restrictions. No vpn’s. Both phones set up same as our 2 iPads that have no issues. Did a network reset at Verizon store with no effect.

Phones were acquired new 2 years ago through Verizon and we have 6 months left on contract. This is so exasperating. I’ve done the airplane mode on/off twice already today on my 12 pro and my wife has done it on her 12 pro max once I know of. We have 2 smart tv’s, 2 iPads and a laptop that never have connection issues. Only these 2 iPhone 12’s.
