facebook app not working

hi, my old facebook account was locked because of "unusual activity" but there is no unusual activity. It was only me updating my profiles and then it automatically locked me out.

I don't know how else to unlock it since the only way was to enter my credit card number? But I don't even have the old credit card from several years ago. and now the option to enter credit card disappeared which doesn’t matter anyway since I don’t have that card but i no longer have the get started option and never even gives me other ways to verify.

Is there any other way to unlock my account please? I even tried logging in on my macbook laptop and iphones 5s and 13 pro on both safari and chrome and on a few same wifi networks ive used before, both I have used to login from but it still says locked even after entering and completing my login details. i've even done resetting network settings.

Also the Facebook app on my iphone 13 pro doesn’t work, it just shows a black screen saying technical error and refresh. I've tried deleting and redownloading the app several times on different wifi networks too and still takes me to the same page that says this isn't available right now. I just want the facebook app to take me to the first login page so i can at least login to a different facebook account that is not blocked but everytime it still shows that black screen saying technical error, page not available, refresh.

no one has been able to help. I’ve tried every option. i dont know what else to do? please kindly help. thank you.

Better yet, add the comment in the App Store for the app, so other users know what they are getting into when they download the App. You can provide a rating there as well. That is the only way to get your message out to the people that need to hear it.

My recommendation did not involve contacting Facebook as I expected you had tried that. It was to rate and comment on the App in the App Store so others users can hear your experience. It is not unusual for one company to blame another for their problems, but the fact remains that the downloaded app does not work for you and the developer was unable to help. Other users may find this helpful and believe it or not, some companies will be more likely to resolve issues with their app from the comments of users than from a support call. They know that the comments are viewed by many people and the phone call only deals with one person.

You would need to follow the information you saw in the related article about contacting the Developer. Apple can not help you with problems with your Facebook account.

Livid rn with taking hours on end to update while every single other apps update beside it in seconds For months now not only does it constantly need an update or they break basic features It refuses to update I go through this every time past few months the app won’t work & usually 3 days later I finally get thru the update. It’s not apple’s fault everything else/any other app udates super fast. Facebook doesn’t care. Sorry APPLE hopes someone there can say something to FB people cause they run the world etc. I’m in my feelings rn… ugh FB U CAN DO BETTER again sorry APPLE..Can y’all pass that along for us tho please

You are NOT writing Apple. This is a user to user only forum, which Apple doesn't actively participate. You can certainly suggest what you'd like to Apple, but Apple doesn't own FB, nor have any control over their apps, so not likely a priority for Apple.

Thank you. I’ve already tried contacting Facebook within the last year to many different departments via many different ways of communication. All said my fb account has no restrictions and is working properly, and they don’t see any hardware or software block like apple suggested. It’s not a Facebook issue is what Facebook said. So I just gave up. I know if I buy a new phone, the app will work. On my current iPhone 13 pro, when I download the app, it goes to technical error on black screen so clearly something is blocking. I could get a VPN and try but too much work. I’ve even erased phone and set up as new phone but did it via restoring from iCloud so whatever is blocked came back. Anyhow, thank you. I’ve given up on apple and Facebook.
