Switching service on iPad from AT&T to Verizon.

Is it possible to make this switch at a Verizon store?

The tags appended to your post suggest that you have an older model iPad mini with iOS11 installed. As such, switching Cellular service from one Carrier to another simply requires you to swap the physical DataSIM for AT&T with an appropriate SIM from Verizon. So yes - this should be possible in-store - but the process is so easy you shouldn’t need any assistance.

The only difficulty that you might encounter is the iPad being locked to AT&T. If the iPad was originally purchased from AT&T, it may be subsidy-locked to their network. If this is the case, you will need assistance from AT&T.

If instead the iPad was originally purchased from Apple (or retailer) without arranging a Cellular plan at point of purchase, then your iPad is very unlikely to have a subsidy-lock that ties the iPad’s Cellular functionality to AT&T.
