My Dell S2721HN monitor does not want to connect with my Apple m1 air, anymore. I get a no Hdmi signal from your device message. Cable works, monitor works connecting other devices.

Hi, yes it did work. I have not used it for some months, and not when I tried to connect again, it gave that error. I have tried both ports with the same issue. It seems I need to update the display's driver, but Dell only has it for Windows. I can't find mac driver update for it.
When you say "anymore" – does that mean that you had the Dell monitor working with the M1 MacBook Air?
I see from Dell's description of the monitor that it has two HDMI inputs. Have you tried using the controls on the monitor to switch between them? Maybe it is looking for a signal on the input port that isn't connected – not the one that is.
