If you are on an iPad and you were syncing it to iCloud then you may have some luck with this

Recover deleted files on iCloud.com - Apple Support

Or this:

Delete a file or recover a file that you deleted from the Files app - Apple Support

On the Mac you might look in Time Machine or whatever other backup system you are using.
