iPad top right button

Brand new iPad, just taken out of the box. The top button isn’t working. Trying to double tap for purchases or even lock it and it’s not responding. iPad has been unboxed for an hour

Broken iPhone 11 top corners unresponsive I have an iPhone 11 and the top two corners are really broken.
