Entered wrong Apple ID when signing into Apple tv

I entered the wrong Apple ID when signing into watch Apple TV now I can’t change the wrong Apple ID what can I do?

Redo apple id on apple tv I just signed up for Apple TV. I was initiating it on my smart TV. I accidentally put in my password in what should have been my apple id. I can’t figure out how to delete the incorrect id and put in the correct one. Clear/delete do not help. I cannot “sign in” because the apple id us incorrect. Thanks.

Put wrong Apple ID while setting up my new tv I made a mistake with my ID while setting up my AppleTV app on my new Sony Bravia X80K tv. I can’t find a way to correct it. It just keeps asking for my password using that wrong ID, and of course, I next get a prompt saying my password is incorrect. My password is correct, it’s my ID that is incorrect. I can’t get past the password screen to correct my ID. Help!

Apple TV app login defaults to old Apple ID email Hi, I have the Apple TV app on my TV. I changed my apple ID from one email address to another several months ago, and now use the updated email to log into my apple account. I recently had to sign in to my TV app again and tried to sign in via the QR code to log in via browser on my phone. The Apple TV app does not recognise my credentials when attempting to log in this way, but instead shows an error message and then displays my old Apple ID. If I manually enter my current apple ID and password on my TV app it is accepted. I have tried resetting the Apple TV pp but no change. The app seems to be expecting my old Apple ID as this is shown on the error screen, but this ID is no longer associated with my account. Any suggestions? I can manually log in but this is using the TV remote so takes a lot more time.

On what device is this happening?

In most cases, you should be able to sign out for the current account, and then sign in with the wanted account.

Else you may try to find a reset function. Else you may need to delete and reinstall.
