It seems that face recognition failure on iPhones might be becoming a common problem.
Have you had this happen?
Could this be due to a defective part.?
If it turns out to be the case should Apple charge for doing this repair?

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know what exactly is occurring. Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come.

If a hardware error, it may be of not most to your, should this be affective item --but that is Apple's call. No on here, on these forums, has any say in what apple will and will not allow.
