Mail for Mac isn't working after password change

I changed my password two days ago for my gmail account. It then signed me out of mail on Mac and when I try to enter a password in, it says it's an authentication error (see below).

I also tried what another help article suggested, which was to enable 2-step verification and get an app password, but that isn't working because there is simply no place for me to enter the password.

Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

"Hi, it’s not giving me anywhere to put a password in, at all. App or otherwise. I’ve tried to get the app password from the link you sent beforehand. The application on my MacBook just shows my email, when I try to add a new email and re enter it, there is still no field for password whatsoever. it’s on my MacBook, so I was already on Wi-Fi."

Reinstall the macOS:

Being inoperable, it seems to me that the Mail app is damaged. So, reinstall the macOS. Nothing would be lost. It's just that misplaced items would be placed back to where they should be and corrupt system files would be replaced by clean files. Go Here: Reinstall macOS - Apple Support. Use the third bulleted method: [command + r].  Important: Prior to installing an update or performing a reinstallation, to prevent data loss, be sure to Back up your Mac with Time Machine.

Thank you or the screenshot.

About Error 404:

Error 404 means there is a server error.

Troubleshooting iPhone Mail:

A. New App Password:

Note that you would need a new App Password, being that Mail is a third party app. You cannot log in using your eMail address password. As an example, go here for gmail: Sign in Using App Passwords - Gmail Help - Google Support

B. Use WiFi:

IF you are using Cellular, what happens when you use WiFi? Any difference?

Will doing that be a hard reset on my computer? From the Google search I did, it seems to be a Google issue (with their security servers) not my computer.

There’s supposed to be a way to “disable secure apps only so less secure apps can be used” so mail for mac can have a password but it keeps saying my account isn’t able to use less secure apps when I tried to do that.

I. About Reinstalling the macOS

Q1. "Will doing that be a hard reset on my computer?

A2. No. As it Said: Nothing would be lost. It's just that misplaced items would be placed back to where they should be and corrupt system files would be replaced by clean files.

II. Allowing what to be Downloaded:

Q2. "From the Google search I did, it seems to be a Google issue (with their security servers) not my computer.: There’s supposed to be a way to 'disable secure apps only so less secure apps can be used' so mail for mac can have a password but it keeps saying my account isn’t able to use less secure apps when I tried to do that."

A2. You need to allow apps downloaded from: "App Store and identified developers"

  1. Go Here: Safely open apps on your Mac - Apple Support
  2. Scroll to: If you want to open an app that hasn’t been notarized or is from an unidentified developer
