How to ask Siri to correctly play new music on Apple Music?

Hi,

My iPhone is on iOS 16.5.1

I always ask Siri to play new music on Apple Music (in my iPhone), before iOS 16.5.1 Siri did the job right, but now she can't do it right anymore.

So the new music I wanted to hear is newly released songs from any artists, those new track songs don't have to be the ones which are currently hits / viral, just new songs and that's it.

Previously, Siri made Apple Music to play random music, when I pressed the next button it will play the next new songs available.

But now after iOS 16.5.1 update, Apple Music can't play it right the way it used to.

Like yesterday; I asked Siri to play new music and she / Apple Music played Taylor Swift's new song, but when I pushed the next button it played old songs.

And this morning I've just noticed there's a small window / widget underneath the Apple Music widget, which tells me the "Maybe you wanted..." new songs instead.

So this morning I asked Siri to play new music, and she played an old song called New by Daya (released in 2017), not the newly released songs which is displayed in the "Maybe you wanted..." widget.

How do I fix this?

I don't want to keep listening to the New song by Daya, I wan't it to automatically play new released songs like it used to...

Thank you for looking through the article, and for your reply, Andy js.

Seems if what you ask is not working, something needs to change.

Eg: Did you try telling "Hey Siri, I don't want to hear New Song by Daya" ?

Maybe try experimenting : "Hey Siri, play other newly released songs" ?

or

asking in a variety of different ways until you get just what you are expecting.

.... "Hey Siri, play a new release from ..... "

"Hey Siri, play any new releases from my favourite artists". etc.

Siri may learn from you that new music doesn't mean songs with "new" in the title.

Thank you for trying, and for kindly replying with info. on your experience

Apple support has an article online with some info. on new music:

How to: Find new music with Apple Music on iPhone - Apple Support

Eg ... noticing the article mentions the heading : "Best New Songs"

also mentions : "songs from upcoming albums"

Maybe Siri may play you what you want when using those words that Apple uses.

Something is bound to work for you sooner or later.

I did, Siri acknowledged it, but when I asked her to play new music it then played New song by Daya again.

Doesn't work too, instead Siri plays other songs by Daya.

"Hey Siri, play any new releases from my favourite artists". etc.

I don't want to hear new songs released by only an artist or specific artists...

I'm still trying, hopefully through time Siri will be useful again for playing new music for me.
