Issue with Apple Music Subscription under Apple One Family Plan

Dear Apple Support Team,

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I have been experiencing with the Apple One Family subscription that my husband, Mr. Kevlich, purchased recently.

We opted for the Apple One Family plan, which includes multiple services such as Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and iCloud storage. While all the services have been successfully activated under our family subscription, I have encountered a problem specifically with Apple Music.

Despite being a part of the Apple One Family plan, I am unable to access Apple Music using my personal account *** It appears that the Apple Music service has not been activated for my account, whereas all the other services are functioning correctly.

To provide you with the necessary details, **** We have confirmed that our family sharing settings are correctly configured, and all other family members are able to access Apple Music without any issues. However, I am the only one experiencing this problem.

I have attempted troubleshooting steps such as signing out and back into my account, restarting my device, and even reinstalling the Apple Music app, but none of these actions have resolved the issue. It seems that there may be an account-specific or activation-related problem preventing me from accessing Apple Music.

I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter promptly. Apple Music is a service that I frequently use, and it is essential for me to have uninterrupted access to my favorite music and playlists. I would appreciate any guidance or steps you can provide to rectify this situation and ensure that I can enjoy Apple Music as part of our Apple One Family plan.

Please let me know if you require any further information or if there are specific troubleshooting steps I should follow. I am more than willing to cooperate and provide any necessary details to help resolve this issue. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to your prompt response.

Best regards,

Zoya K.

Hello zoya_kevlich,

This is a community forum. We are mostly all Apple users, like you.

It appears that you've gone through most, if not all, of the troubleshooting steps yourself with no success. I will list what I recommend, but at the end of the day if you need official Apple Support, I would recommend calling them - Contact - Official Apple Support.

Your said your husband did indeed by the Apple One Family plan. Have him do the following:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Your Name (Apple ID)
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Verify Share with Family is toggled on.

This will share alls subscriptions and purchases with the Family Share group. I'd assume it's already on as you mentioned you have access to the other subscriptions, but not Apple Music. You could try toggling this off and on again.

Additionally,

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Family
  3. Tap Subscriptions

Make sure when the menu opens up, all subscriptions are being shared (including Apple Music).

You could also check what subscriptions are actually being shared with you (again on your husband's iPhone),

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Family
  3. Tap Your Name
  4. Tap Subscriptions

This will show you everything you actually have access to.

You may also do the following to see if that helps:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Family
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Tap Manage Subscriptions

Share Apple and App Store subscriptions with family members on iPhone - Apple Support.

If none of the above works, I'd recommend calling Apple Support - Contact - Official Apple Support.
