Apple Music Family sharing not working.

My husband has a family Apple Music account and I am a member. When I log into Apple Music, I can't listen to full songs and it keeps trying to get me to sign up for a subscription, which I shouldn't need. I've followed the basic steps outlined elsewhere in this community to solve this problem but it's still not working.

Here's where I may be getting hung up: when I go to Family -> Purchases, I have sharing turned on and the "Apple ID for Purchases" listed is my husband's. Should that be mine instead? When I go to change it I get a warning that once I make the switch, my family will lose access to the other account and I won't be able to change it back for 90 days, so I want to be sure this is correct before I do it.

Thanks.

Hello kdp5678,

When part of a Family Sharing group, purchases made by members of the group will be billed to the Family Organizer's billing method. So in this case, if your husband is the organizer of the Family Sharing group then it sounds like it's noting the correct Apple ID there.

For issues with not being able to access the Apple Music family subscription try having the Family Organizer toggle their purchase sharing off, and then back on. If needed the steps for that are here:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap your name.
3. Tap Family Sharing.
4. Tap Purchase Sharing.
5. Turn off Share My Purchases. Then turn on Share My Purchases.
