Yahoo Mail on MacBook Pro

Using System Preferences/Internet Accounts I am attempting to add a Yahoo mail account.

I see the Yahoo sign on screen, and enter my email address.

I then see a second sign in screen asking for userid.

When I enter either an email, or Yahoo userid, and click continue the page hangs... Nothing happens.

Eventually it times out.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 11.7

Login to Yahoo Email When I try to login to my Yahoo email account on a macbook air, I can't advance past the blue "continue" button after entering user ID. This just started one day ago. I have done all updates, cleared history/cache, restarted, etc. I can login on another laptop or desktop, just not the macbook air. I enter my user ID and click the blue button that says "continue" and nothing happens. Also, the mail app in the dock won't sync either. Any suggestions???

Can't add Gmail account to mail accounts on MacBook Every time I try to add my Gmail account, I get a message saying 'Google requires completing authentication in your web browser'. When I click 'open browser'but nothing happens. Chrome is my default browser but it doesn't open, and when I open my account there is nothing that helps. Safari doesn't open either. I have turned off authentication in my Google account but it makes no difference. This is a real pain. It used to work! Can anyone help please?

Mail: Cannot add Gmail account Hi I've got a new MacBook Air but somehow just cannot add my Gmail account to the Mail client. After going through the authentication process and clicking "Done" things just stalled. Nothing happens. I've tried this dozens of times. Monterey 12.6 is the OS version. Your advice appreciated. Carol

Change the Default Browser from ??? to Safari
