Charging the apple pencil

Why should i keep my Apple Pencil charging on my iPad Pro even if it has been at 100% for a long period of time (i.e a day)?

Won't this harm the Apple Pencil's battery life and end up draining the iPad's battery quickly?

Can I just stop charging the Apple Pencil once it reaches 100% and charge it again once it reaches 20%?

Thank you

iPad Pro (6th generation)

The harm with any lithium rechargeable battery is when their charge is depleted and the battery is left in this state for an extended period of time.

To answer your question directly, no it will not harm your Apple Pencil to charge it to 100%, use it, and then, charge it again when it gets down to 20%. It doesn't have to be charging the entire time in-between.
