Hello, I’ve recently been given an Apple Watch from a US friend, I believe is refurbished version of the series7 gps+cellular.
In this community I’ve read that the us version can be used in Europe but despite that I cannot add my esim to the watch.
Is it possible for it to be carrier locked? Or is it just because you cannot use the us version as cellular in EU?

The cellular functions of a US and North American version of Apple Watch are not compatible with the networks in the rest of the world.
