Today I received a disabling of my iPhone for approximately 5 minutes with a readable message regarding a password issue. Was this Apple? Was it part of this security update???

Has anyone encountered the disabling on their iPhone when apparently Apple is accessing our phones?

If you enter the wrong passcode too many times you will encounter wait period. It isn't Apple getting access to your device, it is likely the device trying to discourage somebody from spending too much time entering guesses until they guess your passcode.
