Just got an iMac. Does anyone know how to delete a folder that's in mail?

You could click and drag it to the bin in the dock of your Mac.
But personally I do not use the built in mail app I use spark Wich i will recommend to you as a better option. (link below)

Yes, you’d think that would work but there is no delete folder option. The folders are under “On My Mac” and they are titled with my email address. One folder and a sub-folder beneath it…both with same name. I tried the double right pointing arrows and there was a pull-down, but folders would not drag.

Select the folder, right click and select the Delete Folder option.
