If this is the 2010, 1st gen iPad, and this is an iPad you originally purchased and it has become user activation locked, then, most likely, you will NOT be able to recover anyting off of this very old iPad.

For reasons ONLY known to Apple, Apple has prevented very old iOS devices from being re-activated on their servers and appears, there is really NO way to get around this

Some users here will post some procedures in an atempt to get around the user activation lock/user activation ID issues, however, I have NOT seen any replies or any confirmations, in any of those posts, if any of those procedures ever worked.

Sorry.

If your iPad cannot be successfully powered-on - and the Passcode entered - you’ll not be able to access or recover any locally stored data, photos or music.

All locally stored data is encrypted; if you can’t enter the Passcode, your data is beyond reach. Hopefully, per best practice, you will have taken the precaution of keeping an independent backup of any material that is important to you.
