Apple wallet for iPhone SE not working

I cannot add a credit card with iPhone SE (2nd generation). There is always 2 options: „cancel“ or „learn more“ . Credit card from same bank was added to wallet on a iPhone XR without problems. From what I read it had nothing to do with missing face recognition. Touch ID is enough. Access from wallet to finger/ID touch is activated. What to do? Pls help!!

You must have a passcode assigned and 2FA (Two Factor Authentication) enabled.


If you’ve confirmed the above, please update your iPhone to the latest iOS, 16.5.1 or higher. Older iPhones may only support 15.7.5, but Apple Pay will function.


Update iOS on iPhone - Apple Support



Once updated, please do a forced restart of your iPhone.


Force restart iPhone - Apple Support



Make sure your are signed into your Apple ID/iCloud account on your iPhone.


Sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, or Mac - Apple Support



Follow the steps in this support article for adding credit/debit cards to your Wallet.


Set up Apple Pay - Apple Support


Please note the error message and at what stage you experienced the error. Please reply anytime if something is confusing.

Thanks for your answer. I tried everything. Not working. Last but not least: I de-installed Wallet (question was about adding a credit card in Wallet/apple pay) and I re-installed Wallet and it worked right away. Very strange. Thanks again !! I use Apple Pay more and more and once you are used to it.. wow. So this was the start on my wife´s phone (touch Id only) and it did just not work. But now - problem solved. Thanks!
