Did you get a e-mail/text message about a charge, or did you see this on your bank/card statement?
In general, every charge to your Apple ID account is specified in the purchase history for that account.
If you see 'apple.com/bill' on your billing statement - Apple Support
See your subscriptions overview - Apple
Charges not listed in your purchase history are not known to Apple for that account.
Could other accounts have used your payment method?
Not all messages are legit.
Identify legitimate emails from the App Store or iTunes Store - Apple Support
Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support
