If the plug has broken and cannot be easily removed, your would be best advised to entrust its removal to the technicians at the Genius Bar of your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP):

Hello ~ In addition to the excellent advice posted by*LotusPilot* don’t be tempted to try and remove it yourself or try the numerous posts you may find online. You may cause more damage in doing so. Take it in to the Genius Bar or an Apple Authorized Service Provider
