How do we go about adding the Parent Folder / Enclosed In folder on the Finder screen?
When I search for a file it would be great if I could see what folder the file is in. Secondly, how is this not there by default?

Hold down the command key and click on the folder name. A popup will show the path.

There isn't an "in-folder" column. I explained how you would see the equivalent.
Another option is List View or Column View. Seeing the parent folder is dependent on where you start in the path.
Here is the path in the title bar.
FWIW, if you select the result of your search, the path bar shows what folder a file is in.

Didn't understand the cmd key on folder name.
but bottom line, are you saying it's not possible to include the "in folder" column in the Finder?
I was fiddling around with with cmd-j but the in-folder option isn't there.
thanks, I really wanted to see the folder an item is in in the search results. I can't believe it's not there by default or by option.
