Camera blocked error message for logging into iPad

On my apps that need to allow camera to login I get a message the camera is blocked. I use my iPad daily and have had it for several years without any issue with the camera. I had been using my iPad and then boom the camera started saying blocked for face verification.

I can’t even login into my iPad now with Face ID. I have to use the passcode.

I’ve checked all settings for each app is set to allow

My camera app still works

I've updated to the latest update

screen time limits is not being used

facetime still works

Any ideas I haven’t already checked?

TIA!

Ensure that the from camera array is clean. If necessary, gently clean the screen bezel area adjacent to the camera with a soft lens-cloth - slightly moistened (not wet) with a lens cleaning solution.

Are you using a screen protector? These can sometimes cause issues with the FaceID sensor array.
