Why doesn’t the health app have pill count in medication?

Are you referring to how many pills you have to take (like every morning) or the total amount of pills you've taken over the course of the past x weeks/months?

When setting up your medications within the Health app, you're able to set how many tablets/pills you're taking!

1. Add and log medications with iPhone and Apple Watch - Apple Support
2. Track your medications in Health on iPhone - Apple Support

You can use the following two support pages for help adding, logging, and tracking your medications on iPhone!

I don't believe this is a currently supported feature, but does sound like a helpful one!

Please leave your feedback here - Feedback - Health - Apple! Apple has really been doing a lot to bring up the Health app lately. Make sure to be as thorough as possible when leaving feedback and I'm sure if Apple finds a good way to implement this they will!

The only thing you could do now, would be setup a reminder to remind you when it'll run out. For example, if you take a pill once a day and are only given 30 pills, set a reminder every ~25ish days to call for a refill.
